This Order may be cited as the Education (Listed Bodies) (England) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 22nd December 2000.

The Secretary of State can exercise the power under section 216(2) only in relation to England: see article 2 of and Schedule 1 to the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/672). The Secretary of State’s functions were transferred, in or as regards Scotland, to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c. 46).
