# The Education Maintenance Allowances (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2011, Regulation 2: Amendment of the Education Maintenance Allowances (Scotland) Regulations 2007


(1) The Education Maintenance Allowances (Scotland) Regulations 2007 are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 3—
(a) in paragraph (1), for “Scotland” substitute “the United Kingdom and Islands”; and
(b) in paragraph (3), for “2004” substitute “2008”.
(3) In Schedule 1, for “the United Kingdom and Islands” where it occurs in the following paragraphs substitute “Scotland”—
(a) paragraph 1(a);
(b) paragraph 2(1)(c);
(c) paragraph 3(1)(c);
(d) paragraph 7(c);
(e) paragraph 8(b); and
(f) paragraph 9(c).
(4) In paragraph 1(1) and (2) of Schedule 2, for “the United Kingdom and Islands” in each place where it occurs substitute “Scotland”.
