  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations amend the Education (Mandatory Awards) Regulations 2003 (S.I.2003/1994) as amended by the Education (Mandatory Awards) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 (S.I.2004/1038).\nThese Regulations increase the payment rate of dependants requirement for students from £2,280 to £2,335. Regulation 6(3) of the 2003 regulations provides that the increase shall only apply in relation to an academic term which commences on or after the 1st September 2004. Where an academic year starts before 1st September 2004, but ends after 1st September 2004, the old payment rate and the new payment rate shall be applied proportionally.",
