Paragraph 11

(1)

This paragraph shall apply in the case of a disabled student where the authority are satisified that by reason of his disability, he is obliged to incur additional expenditure in respect of his attendance at the course, other than the expenditure for a purpose specified in paragraph 7(1).

(2)

The student’s supplementary requirement in respect of a non-medical personal helper shall be such amount as the authority consider appropriate not exceeding £4,240.

(3)

The student’s supplementary requirement in respect of major items of specialist equipment shal be such amount as the authority consider appropriate not exceeding £3,180 in total for the duration of his course.

(4)

The student’s supplementary requirement in respect of further additional expenditure shall be such amount as the authority consider appropriate not exceeding £1,060.
