# The Education (No. 2) Act 1986 (Amendment) Order 1993, Note: Explanatory note


This Order amends paragraph 8 of Schedule 3 to the Education (No. 2) Act 1986 by substituting “and” for “or” in two places. Schedule 3 is concerned with appeals against school exclusions on grounds of discipline and the effect of the amendment is to give pupils, parents and local education authorities the right to make both written and oral representations to an appeal committee.
