# The Education (Northern Ireland) Order 1987, Article 2: Interpretation


(1) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 c. 33 (N.I.) 1954 shall apply to Article 1 and the following provisions of this Order as it applies to a Measure of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
(2) In this Order “the principal Order” means the Education and Libraries (Northern Ireland) Order 1986 NI 3 1986 and any expression to which a meaning is assigned by that Order has the same meaning in this Order as in that Order.
