  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order.)\nThis Order amends Schedule 1 to the Education Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 1989 (the 1989 Order) to add Science and Technology to the listed contributory subjects.\nThis Order also amends Schedule 2 to the 1989 Order, so that the compulsory contributory subject “Science (A)” at key stages 1 and 2 is amended to read “Science and Technology(A)”.\nThis Order comes into operation on 31st August 1996.",
