  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nUnder section 192 of the Education Act 1993 a local education authority is required to serve a school attendance order, which is to be in the prescribed form, on the parent of a child who fails to satisfy the authority that the child is receiving suitable education and the authority is of the opinion that the child should attend school. These regulations prescribe the form of a school attendance order for the purposes of section 192.\nThey revoke the School Attendance Order Regulations 1944.",
