Regulation 3 Amendment of the principal Regulations

(1)

Amend regulation 2 as follows.

(2)

In paragraph (1)—

(a)

after the definition of “the 1996 Act” insert–

“the 2002 Act” means the Education Act 2002^f1;

(b)

in the definition of “assessment” for the words “made under section 356 of the 1996 Act” substitute “made, or deemed made, under section 87 of the 2002 Act”;

(c)

in the definition of “attainment targets” for the words “section 353 of the 1996 Act” substitute “section 76 of the 2002 Act”;

(d)

in the definition of “NC tests” for the words “made under section 356 of the 1996 Act” substitute “made, or deemed made, under section 87 of the 2002 Act”.

(3)

In paragraph (2) for the words “section 355(1) of the 1996 Act” substitute “section 82(1) of the 2002 Act”.
