# The Education (School Performance Information) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2009, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 1st May 2009
The Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 408, 537, 537A and 569(4) and (5) of the Education Act 1996.
In accordance with section 408(5) of that Act the Secretary of State has consulted with those persons with whom consultation appeared to him to be desirable.
