The number of pupils aged 15 who, during the reporting school year, were registered for or studying towards vocational qualifications or units of such qualifications validated by the City and Guilds of London Institute, the Royal Society of Arts, or the Business and Technology Education Council and approved by the School Curriculum and Assessment Authority under section 5 of the 1988 Act^f1.
