Regulation 3 Amendment of Education (School Performance Targets) (England) Regulations 1998
In regulation 2(1) (interpretation)—
(a)
after the definition of “the 1997 Act” there shall be inserted
““the 2000 Act” means the Learning and Skills Act 2000;”f1
(b)
after the definition of “designated school” there shall be inserted
““English” means any external qualification approved by the Secretary of State under section 96 of the 2000 Act with the subject title English but not being English Literature;”
(c)
after the definition of “level 4” there shall be inserted
““Mathematics” means any external qualification approved by the Secretary of State under section 96 of the 2000 Act with the subject title Mathematics;”.
