# The Education (School Performance Targets) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2004, Introduction: Introductory text


This Statutory Instrument has been made in consequence of a defect in SI 2004/2858 and is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of that Statutory Instrument.

In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Secretary of State by sections 19 and 54(3) of the Education Act 1997, the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Regulations:
