# The Education (School Teachers’ Prescribed Qualifications, etc) (Amendment) Order 2012, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 1st April 2012
The Secretary of State for Education makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 122(5) and 210(7) of the Education Act 2002 (“the Act”).
In accordance with section 126 of the Act the Secretary of State has consulted such of the persons and bodies referred to in that section as appeared to him to be appropriate.
