# The Education (Schools) Act 1997 (Commencement) Order 1997, Article 2: Commencement of provisions


The following provisions of the Education (Schools) Act 1997 shall come into force on 1st December 1997:–
section 5(2),
section 6(3) so far as relating to Part II of the Schedule, and
Part II of the Schedule.
