# The Education (Special Educational Needs) (Amendment) Regulations 1988, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 27th June 1988
Coming into force 18th July 1988
In exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 4 of Schedule 1 to the Education Act 1981 as extended by section 5(8) of the Disabled Persons (Services, Consultation and Representation) Act 1986 the Secretary of State for Education and Science, as respects England, and the Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, hereby make the following Regulations:
