# The Education (Special Educational Needs) (Information) Regulations 1994, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 13th April 1994
Coming into force 1st September 1994
In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 8(5) and (7) of the Education Act 1980 and sections 153(1), 161(5) and 305(1) of, and paragraph 14 of Schedule 11 to, the Education Act 1993, the Secretary of State for Education, as respects England, and the Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, hereby make the following Regulations:
