# The Education (Special Educational Needs) (Wales) Regulations 2002, Introduction: Introductory text

The National Assembly for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 316A(2), 322(4), 324(2), 325(2A) and (2B), 328(1), (3A), (3B) and (6), 329(2A), 329A(9), and 569(1), (2) and (4) of, and paragraphs 2, 3(1), (3) and (4) of Schedule 26, and paragraphs 2(3), 2B (3), 5(3), 6(3), 7(1) and (2), 8(3A) and (5), 11(2A) and (4) of Schedule 27 to, the Education Act 1996, and now vested in the National Assembly for Wales, hereby makes the following Regulations:
