# The Education (Student Loans) (Repayment) (Amendment) Regulations 2012, Introduction: Introductory text

The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 22(5) and 42(6) of the Teaching and Higher Education Act 1998 and by sections 73(f) and 73B(3) of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980:
