# The Education (Student Support) Regulations 2005, Regulation 16: Grants for dependants – general


(1) The grant for dependants consists of the following elements—
(a) adult dependants' grant;
(b) childcare grant;
(c) parents' learning allowance.
(2) The qualifying conditions for each element and the amounts payable are set out in regulations 17 to 20.
(3) A deduction may be made from any element of the grant for dependants in accordance with regulation 30.
