  "heading": "Maximum amount of loans for living costs: eligible part-time students with reduced entitlement",
  "text": "(1) Subject to Chapters 3 and 4 of this Part, the maximum amount of loan for living costs for which an eligible part-time student with reduced entitlement qualifies in respect of an academic year of a designated part-time course is equal to—\n(A×B)where—\nA is the relevant intensity of study; and\nB is —\n(a)for a student in category A, the amount in regulation 80(1)(f)(i);\n(b)for a student in category B, the amount in regulation 80(1)(f)(ii);\n(c)for a student in category C, the amount in regulation 80(1)(f)(iii);\n(d)for a student in category D, the amount in regulation 80(1)(f)(iv).\n(2) Subject to paragraph (4), the maximum amount of loan for living costs which is calculated in accordance with paragraph (1) is made up of—\n(a) a special support loan calculated in accordance with paragraph (3); and\n(b) a maintenance loan.\n(3) The amount of special support loan is—\n(A×Z)where—\nA is the relevant intensity of study; and\nZ is £4,582.\n(4) Where the amount of special support loan calculated in accordance with paragraph (3) is equal to or higher than the amount calculated in accordance with paragraph (1)—\n(a) the maximum amount of loan for living costs is made up of a special support loan only; and\n(b) the maximum amount of loan for living costs is equal to the amount calculated in accordance with paragraph (1).",
