  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations abolish the requirement for probation under the Education (Teachers) Regulations 1989 with a transitional provision for teachers serving probation on 1st September 1992 when these Regulations come into force. Paragraph 9(1) of Schedule 1 continues to apply to teachers who failed probation under the Schools Regulations 1959 or the Education (Teachers) Regulations 1982.",
