# The Education (Teachers) (Amendment) Regulations 1994, Regulation 2: Amendment of the principal Regulations


The following amendments shall be made to paragraph (2) of regulation 3 of Part I of the principal Regulations—
(a) before the definition of “hearing impaired” there shall be inserted—
““city college” means a city technology college or a city college for the technology of the arts;”; and
(b) before the definition of “relevant employment” there shall be inserted—
““registered teacher” means a person in respect of whom registration has been effected;”;
““registration” means registration by the Secretary of State in accordance with Part II of Schedule 3 of a person employed as a teacher at a city college who seeks to become a qualified teacher;”.
