  "text": "(1) The 2013 Act is amended as follows.\n(2) In section 4(3) (persons who may not be commissioners)—\n(a) in paragraph (c), after “member” insert “or member of staff”;\n(b) omit paragraph (d);\n(c) in paragraph (e), after “member” insert “or member of staff”;\n(d) after paragraph (e) insert—\n“(ea) a member or member of staff of a corporate joint committee established by regulations made under Part 5 of the Local Government and Elections (Wales) Act 2021 (asc 1);\n(eb) a member or member of staff of a fire and rescue authority constituted by a scheme under section 2 of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 (c. 21), or a scheme to which section 4 of that Act applies;”.\n(3) In section 8(4) (persons who may not be chief executive)—\n(a) in paragraph (c), after “member” insert “or member of staff”;\n(b) omit paragraph (d);\n(c) in paragraph (e), after “member” insert “or member of staff”;\n(d) after paragraph (e) insert—\n“(ea) a member or member of staff of a corporate joint committee established by regulations made under Part 5 of the Local Government and Elections (Wales) Act 2021 (asc 1);\n(eb) a member or member of staff of a fire and rescue authority constituted by a scheme under section 2 of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 (c. 21), or a scheme to which section 4 of that Act applies;”.\n(4) In section 11(2) (persons who may not be assistant commissioners)—\n(a) in paragraph (c), after “member” insert “or member of staff”;\n(b) omit paragraph (d);\n(c) in paragraph (e), after “member” insert “or member of staff”;\n(d) after paragraph (e) insert—\n“(ea) a member or member of staff of a corporate joint committee established by regulations made under Part 5 of the Local Government and Elections (Wales) Act 2021 (asc 1);\n(eb) a member or member of staff of a fire and rescue authority constituted by a scheme under section 2 of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 (c. 21), or a scheme to which section 4 of that Act applies;”.",
