# Elections (Northern Ireland) Order 1996, Introduction: Introductory text


NORTHERN IRELAND
Made 3rd May 1996
Coming into force 4th May 1996
Whereas a draft of this Order has been approved by each House of Parliament;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 1 to the Northern Ireland (Entry to Negotiations, etc.) Act 1996, I hereby make the following Order:—
