  "text": "In this Part—\n“modify” includes amend, repeal or revoke;\n“register” means a register of parliamentary electors or local government electors maintained by a registration officer in Great Britain other than a register of local government electors maintained by a registration officer in Wales;\n“registration officer” has the same meaning as in the Representation of the People Act 1983 (see section 8 of that Act);\n“subordinate legislation” has the same meaning as in the Interpretation Act 1978.",
