# The Electricity Act 1989 (Consequential Modifications of Enactments) Order 1990

This Order makes modifications to the Channel Tunnel Act 1987 and the Dartford—Thurrock Crossing Act 1988. ELECTRICITY
Made 12th March 1990
Laid before Parliament 14th March 1990
Coming into force 31st March 1990
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 112(2) of the Electricity Act 1989 and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:—

## 1 

This Order may be cited as the Electricity Act 1989 (Consequential Modifications of Enactments) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 31st March 1990.

## 2 

The enactments mentioned in columns 1 and 2 of the Schedule to this Order are hereby modified to the extent specified in column 3 of that Schedule.

In Schedule 7, Part VI, paragraph 13(1) for the words “the Central Electricity Generating Board” there shall be substituted the words “The National Grid Company plc” and for the word “board” there shall be substituted the word “company”.

The Dartford-Thurrock Crossing Act 1988.
In Schedule 7, Part II–
(a) in paragraph 1(1) for the words “the Central Electricity Generating Board” there shall be substituted the words “National PLC”; and
(b) in the table in paragraph 2 for the words “Central Electricity Generating Board” there shall be substituted the words “National Power PLC”.
