# The Electronic Communications (Universal Service) (Broadband) Order 2018, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 28th March 2018
Laid before Parliament 28th March 2018
Coming into force 23rd April 2018
The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 65 of the Communications Act 2003.
The Secretary of State has consulted OFCOM and such other persons as he considers appropriate in accordance with section 65(4).
