# The Electronic Fingerprinting etc. Device Approval (Scotland) Order 1997, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order approves the device known as the Digital Biometrics Incorporation (DBI) Tenprinter 1133S, with palmprint option, for the purpose of creating such records as are mentioned in paragraph (d) of section 18(7A) of the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995 (records of a person’s skin on an external part of the body).
