# The Electronic Money Regulations 2011, Regulation 33: Use of distributors and agents


(1) An electronic money institution may distribute or redeem electronic money through a distributor or agent.
(2) An electronic money institution may not issue electronic money through a distributor, agent or any other entity acting on its behalf.
