# The Electronic Money Regulations 2011, Paragraph 17


A direction made under paragraph 15 or 16 must be on the basis of an evaluation of the relevant electronic money institution including, if available, and where the Authority considers it appropriate, any risk-management processes, risk loss database or internal control mechanisms of the electronic money institution.
