  "text": "(1) In this Act—\n...\n” . . .\n“act” includes a deliberate omission;\n“subordinate legislation” has the same meaning as in the Interpretation Act 1978;\n“vocational training” includes advanced vocational training and retraining.\n(2) Any reference in this Act to vocational training shall be construed as including a reference to vocational guidance.\n(3) The enactments mentioned in Schedule 6 shall have effect subject to the minor and consequential amendments specified in that Schedule.\n(4) The enactments mentioned in Schedule 7 (which include some spent provisions) are hereby repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule.\n(5) The instruments mentioned in Schedule 8 are hereby revoked to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule.\n(6) The transitional provisions and savings contained in Schedule 9 shall have effect.",
