# The Employment and Support Allowance (Sanctions) (Amendment) Regulations 2012, Regulation 2: Amendment of Regulation 2 of the ESA Regulations (interpretation)


In regulation 2(1) of the ESA Regulations (interpretation), after the definition of “guaranteed income payment” insert—
““hardship payment” means an income-related employment and support allowance payable at a reduced rate in accordance with the provisions of regulation 64D;”.
