This Order brings into force on 1st October 1988 further repeals contained in Part I of Schedule 4 to the Energy Act 1983. The Electricity Supply Regulations 1937 and the Electricity (Overhead Lines) Regulations 1970 (S.I. 1970/1355) which were made or continued in force under section 60 of the Electricity Act 1947 will be revoked on the repeal of that section. They are replaced by the Electricity Supply Regulations 1988 (S.I. 1988/1057).
