# The Energy Act 2023 (Commencement No. 3) Regulations 2024, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations bring into force on 1st October 2024 specified provisions of the Energy Act 2023 (c. 52) (“the Act”). These are the third set of commencement regulations under the Act.
Regulation 2 brings into force the remaining provisions of Part 5 of the Act which establishes the Independent System Operator and Planner.
