  "heading": "Modification of scheme",
  "text": "(1) The Secretary of State may modify a scheme.\n(2) A modification may be made only for the purpose of achieving the objective with which the scheme was made (see section 50(2)).\n(3) If a transfer under the scheme has taken effect, a modification under sub-paragraph (1) may be made only with the agreement of—\n(a) the transferor or transferee affected by the modification (or, where both the transferor and transferee are affected, with the agreement of both of them);\n(b) any employee who is a party to a contract of employment containing rights and liabilities to which the modification relates;\n(c) any other person whose property or rights have been adversely affected by the modification.\n(4) A modification takes effect from such date as the Secretary of State may specify (which may be the date when the original scheme came into effect).",
