# The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Order 1994, Schedule: OBJECTS OF THE ENGINEERING AND PHYSICAL SCIENCES RESEARCH COUNCIL


(a) to promote and support, by any means, high quality basic, strategic and applied research and related post-graduate training in engineering and the physical sciences;
(b) to advance knowledge and technology, and provide trained scientists and engineers, which meet the needs of users and beneficiaries (including thechemical, communications, construction, electrical, electronic, engineering, information technology, pharmaceutical, process and other industries), thereby contributing to the economic competitiveness of Our United Kingdom and the quality of life;
(c) to provide advice, disseminate knowledge, and promote public understanding in the fields of engineering and the physical sciences.
