# English Devolution and Community Empowerment Act 2026, Paragraph 31: Extension or modification of functions of statutory undertakers

Extent: E+W

(1) Section 275 is amended in accordance with this paragraph.
(2) In the following provisions, for “local authority” substitute “relevant authority”—
(a) subsection (1)(a);
(b) subsection (3) (in all three places);
(c) subsection (5)(c).
(3) After subsection (5) insert—
“(6) In this section “relevant authority” means—
(a) a local authority, or
(b) a non-mayoral combined authority or non-mayoral CCA.”
