# English Devolution and Community Empowerment Act 2026, Section 5: Combined authorities and CCAs: functions generally

Extent: E+W

(1) Before section 18 of LURA 2023 insert—
“The functions of CCAs
17A A CCA has the functions that are conferred by—
(a) this Chapter or any regulations under this Chapter,
(b) any regulations under Schedule 27 to the English Devolution and Community Empowerment Act 2026, or
(c) any other enactment (whenever passed or made).”
(2) After section 103 of LDEDCA 2009 insert—
“Functions of combined authorities
The functions of combined authorities
103A A combined authority has the functions that are conferred by—
(a) this Part or any order under this Part,
(b) any regulations under Schedule 27 to the English Devolution and Community Empowerment Act 2026, or
(c) any other enactment (whenever passed or made).”
