# The Environment (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2018, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These regulations are made in exercise of the powers in section 2(2) of, and paragraph 1A of Schedule 2 to, the European Communities Act 1972, in order to make minor miscellaneous technical amendments to update outdated references in existing legislation that transposes current EU environmental requirements.
