# The Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Regulations 2018, Paragraph 18: Additional general criteria for the acceptance of waste at landfills for non-hazardous waste


Waste may only be accepted at a landfill for non-hazardous waste if—
(a) it is hazardous waste, and—
(i) it is stable non-reactive hazardous waste,
(ii) its leaching behaviour is equivalent to that of non-hazardous waste which meets the relevant waste acceptance criteria, and
(iii) it is not deposited in cells used or intended to be used for the disposal of biodegradable non-hazardous waste,
(b) it is non-hazardous waste.
