# The Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Regulations 2018, Paragraph 23: Criteria relating to gypsum based waste


(1) Gypsum based and other high sulphate bearing wastes may only be disposed of in landfills for non-hazardous waste in cells where no biodegradable waste is accepted.
(2) The limit values for total organic carbon and dissolved organic carbon given in Tables 4 and 5 above apply to wastes landfilled with gypsum-based materials.
