  "text": "(1) Where a person on whom a stop notice is served does not comply with it within the time limit specified in the notice, the person is guilty of an offence and liable—\n(a) on summary conviction, to a fine, or imprisonment for a term not exceeding the general limit in a magistrates’ court, or both; or\n(b) on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, or a fine, or both.\n(2) In relation to an offence committed before 2nd May 2022, the reference in sub-paragraph (1)(a) to the general limit in a magistrates’ court is to be read as a reference to six months.",
