# The Environmentally Sensitive Areas Designation (England) (Amendment) Order 1988, Note: Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends a series of Orders previously made by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food which designated areas in the South Downs, the North Peak and the Test Valley as environmentally sensitive areas. The Order inserts a definition of “cow” and, for clarification, substitutes a new definition of “livestock unit” (articles 3 and 4).
