# The Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Wales) Designation Orders (Amendment) Order 1999, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 16th April 1999
Laid before Parliament 20th April 1999
Coming into force 11th May 1999
Whereas, pursuant to section 18(1) of the Agriculture Act 1986, the Secretary of State has by Order designated areas in Wales as environmentally sensitive areas;
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 18(1) and (4) of the said Act and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, with the consent of the Treasury hereby makes the following Order:–
