Explanatory note

This Order amends the provisions of the Equality Act 2006 (Dissolution of Commissions and Consequential and Transitional Provisions) Order 2007 that make consequential modifications to the Race Relations Act 1976 (Statutory Duties) Order 2001, the Disability Discrimination (Public Authorities) (Statutory Duties) Regulations 2005 and the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (Public Authorities) (Statutory Duties) Order 2006 to amend the deadlines applicable to the Commission for Equality and Human Rights (“the Commission”) under those instruments.

A regulatory impact assessment was produced for the Commission and is available on the Government Equalities Office website at http://www.womenandequalityunit.gov.uk/cehr/equality_bill.htm. A further impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no additional impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
