# The Equality Act 2010 (Amendment) Regulations 2023, Introduction: Introductory text


RETAINED EU LAW REFORM
EQUALITY
Made 19th December 2023
Coming into force 1st January 2024
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 12(8), 13(2), (3) and (7) and 20(1) of the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023.
The Secretary of State is a relevant national authority for the purposes of section 12 of that Act.
In accordance with paragraph 5(1) of Schedule 5 to that Act, a draft of this instrument has been laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament.
