  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThe Commission for Equality and Human Rights has the power under Part 1 of the Equality Act 2006 (c. 3) to issue a Code of Practice in connection with any matter addressed by the Equality Act 2010 (c. 15), and also to request the Secretary of State to revoke a Code of Practice. The Secretary of State can then revoke a Code of Practice by order.\nThis instrument revokes the Code of Practice on Services, Public Functions and Associations which has been in force since 6th April 2011 (“the 2011 Code of Practice”). A new 2026 Code of Practice issued on 14th July 2026 (“the 2026 Code of Practice”) (ISBN 978-1-5286-6395-3) is brought into force, immediately after this instrument takes effect to revoke the 2011 Code of Practice, by the Equality Act 2010 (Code of Practice on Services, Public Functions and Associations) (Commencement) Order 2026 (S.I. 2026/788). Hard copies of both the 2011 and 2026 Codes of Practice can be obtained from the Correspondence Unit, Equality and Human Rights Commission, Arndale House, The Arndale Centre, Manchester M4 3AQ.\nA full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen. As regards the 2026 Code of Practice, a full impact assessment of the effect that it will have on the costs of business, the voluntary sector and the public sector is available at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/equality-act-2010-draft-code-of-practice-for-services-public-functions-and-associations-2026/final-stage-impact-assessment or from the Commission for Equality and Human Rights’ Correspondence Unit at the address in the paragraph above.",
