# The Equality Act 2010 (Commencement No. 13) (Scotland) Order 2017, Article 2: Commencement of Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010


(1) The following provisions of Part 1 (socio-economic inequalities) of the Equality Act 2010 come into force on 1st April 2018—
(a) in section 1 (public sector duty regarding socio-economic inequalities), subsections (1) to (3) and (6);
(b) section 2 (power to amend section 1), so far as it confers a power on the Scottish Ministers; and
(c) section 3 (enforcement).
(2) For the avoidance of doubt, section 1(3) is commenced as originally enacted.
