# The Equality Act 2010 (Equal Pay Audits) Regulations 2014, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 1st October 2014
These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 139A and 207(1) and (4) of the Equality Act 2010.
The Secretary of State has consulted the Minister for Employment Relations and Consumer Affairs and the Lord Chancellor in accordance with section 139A(12) of that Act.
In accordance with section 208(4), (5)(ea) and (8) of that Act, a draft of these Regulations has been laid before and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations:
